I grew up in a small mining town located in the Mojave Desert, working in the mines before pursuing college degrees at UCLA (Go Bruins!) and California State University at Northridge. After 36 years in health care, I retired with my wife and two kids on the California central coast, where I eagerly pen stories that have been impatiently waiting to be told. When not writing, I spend time with family and friends, travel the world, tackle home improvement projects that have taunted me for years, and explore ways to keep as much gray matter for as long as possible.
I started writing in the early 90's, finishing a short version of The Fortress but didn't publish it. My career and growing family held my full attention until I remembered how much joy writing had given me. I self-published my first novel in July 2013 called Off The Grid, an early version of The Fortress. After retiring in January 2023, I decided to rename Off The Grid (too easily confused with countless how-to survival books) and gave it a major refresh and renamed it The Fortress. A sequel followed, Oracle, and am working on a third book. I'm loving retirement, finally having the time to pursue so many book ideas that have been percolating. I hope readers enjoy my books as much as I've been enjoying writing them!
